InnoDB in Hosting
InnoDB is offered with all our hosting by default, not as a paid upgrade or upon request, so you will be able to install and run any script-powered web application that requires the storage engine without the need to deal with any problem as soon as you order your shared hosting account. InnoDB will be pre-selected as the default engine for a given MySQL database during the app activation, no matter if you take advantage of our one-click installer or create the MySQL database and install the application manually, provided that the application requires it instead of the more popular MyISAM engine. We will carry out daily database backups, so you can be sure that you’ll never lose any data if you erase a database by mistake or you overwrite some vital information – you just need to get in touch with us and we will restore your database back to normal.
InnoDB in Semi-dedicated Servers
All our Linux semi-dedicated servers include InnoDB and you can make the most of all the options offered by this database storage engine with any PHP-based application that needs it. It is among the engines that we have on our cloud web hosting platform, so the one that will be used depends on the requirements of the particular app. You will not have to do anything manually to enable InnoDB, as it will be set as the default engine when you install an app – whether manually or using our single-click application installer. To be on the safe side, we’ll store daily database backups, so if anything goes wrong after an upgrade or if you erase some content accidentally, we will be able to restore your database the way it was on any of the previous 7 days.

The default MySQL engine, MyISAM, will be installed too. You can set up a brand-new MySQL database and start the app installation procedure manually or using our 1-click installer tool. The system will recognize the engine that the application in question needs and will set it for the specific database, so the installation will proceed flawlessly and the application can enter its content into that database. Thus, you can use apps with various prerequisites with regard to the MySQL engine without having to make any modifications on your VPS.
InnoDB in Dedicated Servers
All Linux dedicated service that are ordered with our in-house built Hepsia hosting Control Panel come with a software package that is pre-activated and among everything else, you’ll get the InnoDB storage engine, so you will not need to add it manually if you would like to activate PHP scripts that need it. All it takes to activate such a script is to create a new MySQL database and to start the installation – once the installation wizard gets access to the database and starts dumping data in it, InnoDB will be set as the default MySQL engine for this database provided that it is the one needed by the script. You will also be able to activate scripts that need MyISAM, the other very popular MySQL engine, so you won’t have to update any settings on the server. This will permit you to activate various scripts on a single server and to use it to its maximum capacity.
